Major Accounts Manager
An exciting sales opportunity has arisen at a Manufacturer of Cleaning Equipment looking to extend its successful sales team with the appointment of a field-based Senior Major Accounts Manager.
Established in 1954, our client is a pioneer of innovative cleaning solutions. At the forefront of cleaning technology, the company holds international contracts with high-profile B2B and B2C customers.
This new role requires a highly motivated and sales-driven manager in order to manage and grow an existing business portfolio of accounts in Scotland and Ireland, as well as consolidate and develop a number of group accounts throughout the United Kingdom.
Potential candidates will need to demonstrate a successful sales career. Also, a key requirement of this role is evidence of an excellent track record in managing business flow through distributor networks. The company is looking for someone to ensure the smooth transition and reporting of business gained from the company’s national accounts initiatives via third-party distribution channels.
The successful candidate will have full responsibility and accountability for the business growth within this competitive sector and report directly to the Group Sales and Marketing Director.
The current level of business is in excess of £2m and the company has set challenging targets for growth within the next three years to complement its significant turnover in other market sectors.
As you would expect, this senior position will attract a very competitive salary and commission/bonus opportunity for the right candidate while providing the potential for the individual to grow and develop within this long established, but still highly ambitious company.
Computer literacy, excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a focussed and self-motivated way are a high priority. A clean, full driving licence, and the ability to be able to work flexible hours due to the nature of this market environment are also essential requirements.
